Tim Vrana has an active appellate practice in both the state and federal courts.  He has successfully briefed and orally argued cases before the Indiana Tax Court, the Indiana Court of Appeals, the Indiana Supreme Court, and the United States Court of Appeals for the 7th Circuit.

Tim is a member of the Indiana Bar Association's Appellate Practice Section, and has been on the Governing Council since 2001.  He is also a member of the American Bar Association's Council of Appellate Lawyers.

In 1993, Tim wrote an article for The Indiana Lawyer about plurality appellate opinions.  He was a presenter at an Indiana Continuing Legal Education Foundation seminar on Appellate Practice in 2006.
