Tim Vrana has an active appellate practice in both the state and federal courts. He has successfully briefed and orally argued cases before the Indiana Tax Court, the Indiana Court of Appeals, the Indiana Supreme Court, and the United States Court of Appeals for the 7th Circuit.
Tim is the vice-chair of the Indiana Bar Association’s Appellate Practice Section Governing Council. He has been a member of the Governing Council since 2001. Tim was co-editor of the Appellate Practice Manual published in printed form in 2008 by the Indiana State Bar Association Appellate Practice Section, and is editor of the on-line version of that manual.
In 1993, Tim wrote an article for The Indiana Lawyer about plurality appellate opinions. He was a presenter at an Indiana Continuing Legal Education Foundation seminar on Appellate Practice in 2006. He presented on ethics and the appellate practitioner at the Appellate Skills Institute in both 2006 and 2009.
